    “Es ist eine Wohnhaussiedlung, kein Ferienort.
    Es gibt 2 Spielplätze und ein kleines Café. In dem Café kann man kaffe trinken und ein Crossaint bekommen (nicht immer!). Sonst gibt es in Vilacolum nichts, nur Ruhe.”

    “In Vilacolum selbst gibt es nur eine Bar, wo man auch Brot einkaufen kann ( Dienstag geschlossen).
    Zum Einkaufen empfiehlt es sich zwei Orte weiter nach Sant Pere Pescador zu fahren. Am nördlichen Ende des Ortes ist ein sehr gut sortierter Supermarkt und auch eine sehr preiswerte Tankstelle. Im Ortskern dort gibt es eine gute Metzgerei ( Name Slageru ). Die Metzgerin spricht auch passabel deutsch. In Sant Pere haben wir zwei Lokale besucht. Das Can Trona Restaurant und das El Ratpenat. Beide sind sehr empfehlenswert.
    In der Umgebung gibt es einiges anzuschauen. In Figueres ( Geburtsstadt von Salvator Dali ) das Dali Museum - Eintrittskarten unbedingt online reservieren. Das gilt auch für Portlligat und das dortige Dali Haus. In Empuriabrava kann man eine Bootstour durch die Kanäle machen. In l'Estartit gibt es die Möglichkeit eine Fahrt mit dem Glasbodenboot zu machen. Auch Girona sollte man besuchen und eine Tour mit dem Touristenzug durch die engen Strassen machen. Von sant Marti d'Empuries kann man auch mit einem Touristenzug bis nach L'Escala fahren und auch die Ausgrabungsstätte von Empuries und das archäologische Museum dort besuchen.
    Die gesamte Umgebung ist sehr sauber!!!”
