    “Very nice area. Lots of beautiful hiking trails, which is what we mostly did, but also a lot of castles (ruins) to see. I also recommend a trip to the Flossenbürg concentration camp memorial, even if it can be a bit hard to stomach. The closest city is Weiden, which while small has everything you could need. For groceries, we preferred Edeka Grünbauer, which is just a few minutes drive south of the house. There are many other options nearby as well.”
