    “Ruoms is een zeer aangenaam en mooi dorpje. Om te gaan winkelen is er een grote Super U (vergelijkbaar met een grote GB in België), een biowinkel, bakkers, beenhouwer, plaatselijke gastronomie...
    Door het WK voetbal hebben we ons beperkt tot 1 restaurant 'La Poste' omdat ze daar de voetbal uitzonden op groot scherm, de bediening kon daar ook in het NL. Maar er zijn wel meer restaurants in de buurt. Het winkelstraatje is ook gezellig en er is een oud historisch gedeelte om eens door te wandelen. Verder kan je er ook wandelingen maken en gaan kano of kajak varen. Voor speologen is het de place to be. Er zijn zeer veel grotten die kunnen bezocht worden en die de moeite waard zijn.”
