    “Supermärkte sind in der Nähe gut mit dem Auto erreichbar (Mietwagen ist empfehlenswert!). Die Gastronomie ist sehr gut, Reservierung ist zu empfehlen (unser Tipp: Tasca Ihuey!). Der Ort ist insgesamt vielseitig. Die Parkplatzsituation ist manchmal etwas angespannt.”

    “Puerto de la Cruz is a nice place to holiday. The Punta Brava area where the loft is located (right opposite Loro Parque) is pleasant and there are a few local shops cafes and bars and a Lidl supermarket just up the hill nearby.
    In the main town there are numerous places to eat of varying standards and it seems the town caters for most needs. Our favourite restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz was Tasca Ihuey - excellent food and service.
    The beaches when we visited were swept by large Atlantic waves and were not ideal for swimming. There were lifeguards on duty on the town beaches and supervised bathing was possible but not suitable for weak swimmers/children as the waves were too big. The park areas behind the town beaches were very well kept and pleasant.”
