Rent a holiday home in Engadin, the 'valley of the Inn People'

The picturesque valley of Endigan is located in the canton of Graubünden in southeast Switzerland. Piz Palü, Piz Corvatsch, Corviglia and Diavolezza are popular peaks and skiing areas with a variety of holiday homes, holiday apartments, holiday rentals and holiday houses to choose from. The red trains of the Rhaetian Railway connect the ski regions of Diavolezza and Lagalb with the National Park in Lower Engadine, while the Bernina Express connects the region to the Mediterranean Puschlav.

Outdoor activities and more

An impressive network of cross country skiing trails as well as inline skating and windsurfing marathons, makes Engadin a firm favourite with winter sports enthusiasts. Come winter the international jet setting crowd descends upon the ski resort of St. Moritz, named after Saint Maurice, an early Christian saint from Egypt. Horse racing and polo competitions on the shores of the lake, the Cresta Run Toboggan Course, the Olympic Bob Run, St. Moritz' Olympic ski jump and the Ski World Cup Championships have all garnered Engadin international acclaim. All of Endagin's pistes are linked by state of the art infrastructure where equipment is easy to rent, and holiday rentals, holiday houses and holiday homes are in plentiful supply.

Book a holiday house in Endigan to enjoy its traditional culture

Engadin has a rich cultural heritage and the indigenous Romansch is the principal language. Italian, German, French and english are widely spoken in the neighbouring valleys. Friedrich Nietzsche, Richard Wagner, Hermann Hesse, Thomas Mann and Richard Strauss are some of the world famous personalities associated with the region. The music festival Snow and Symphony, the Gourmet Festival and the Opern Festival are permanent fixtures on the cultural calendar as well as Chalandamarz, a traditional festival held on the 1st of March which celebrates the beginning of Spring. Dancing, drinking and eating continue until morning. In the winter horses are decked with fancy plumage, bells and trimmings and the local inhabitants sport traditional dress for the Schlittéda, a horse drawn sleigh ride.
