    “In het dorp Elpe zijn weinig mogelijkheden voor boodschappen. Omdat we er maar één weekend waren hebben we weinig in het dorp zelf rondgewandeld, maar het zag er vriendelijk en verzorgd uit.”

    “Elpe ist ein Ortsteil von Olsberg. In Olsberg gibt es sehr viele gastronomische Einrichtungen, ebenso in Winterberg. Beides aber mehr als 10 km entfernt. Wir waren im Gasthaus "Zur Post" in Olsberg und da hat es uns sehr gut gefallen. In Elpe ist der Bäcker gleich um die Ecke (bei größeren Gruppen ist es sinnvoll, vorzubestellen) und ein Gasthaus (Ehls) ca. 2 km den Berg ziemlich steil hoch zum OT Heinrichsdorf. Schafft man aber locker, wenn man keine Fußkranken dabei hat. Obwohl der Gasthof Ehls einen Wasserschaden und damit keine Speisekarte hatte, hat man uns frische Bouletten mit hausgemachtem Kartoffelsalat serviert, sehr freundlicher Service. Ansonsten waren wir im Fort Fun, auch das ist sehr lustig. Hätte es fußläufig noch ein zweites Gasthaus in Elpe gegeben, hätte ich hier 5 Kreise angeklickt. Die Umgebung ist allerdings sehr empfehlenswert.”
