    “Chalais is niks aan, je moet echt met de auto 10 minuutjes rijden naar Thiviers voor je boodschappen. Voor nog grotere steden zeker 50 min onderweg. Wel mooi gebied met leuke schattige dorpen. Kon eraan liggen dat wij in september er waren naar wij vonden de meeste stadjes 'doods'; weinig te zien op straat. Levendigste plekken en echte aanraders zijn Brantôme, perigeux en Limoges.”
