Comfortably and tastefully furnished holiday house with a terrace and a garden, in a quiet and rural location with a beautiful panoramic view
The holiday house is a terraced house in a former farmhouse made of stone, in a quiet location in the countryside, about two hours from Paris. The owner lives on site.
The terraced house of around 100m² on two floors can accommodate five adults and three children. It was completely renovated in 2014 and tastefully decorated and furnished in a modern country style. The old stone walls and the wooden beams on the ceiling were integrated cleverly into the renovation. The ground floor has a big living and dining room with an open kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, and a separate WC. The living room flooded with daylight has a sofa and armchairs in front of the TV that you can make yourselves comfortable on. The dining space has a long dining table with ten chairs, with an adjoining open kitchen fully-equipped with a stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. The living room has stairs leading up to the first floor, which has three further bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower, as well as a separate WC. The first bedroom is a children’s room with a bed 160cm wide, a single bed 90cm wide, while the second bedroom has a double bed 160cm wide and a little table with two chairs. The third bedroom has a mezzanine level with a further single bed 140cm wide, and a sofa bed below 140cm wide, as well as a little reading corner. The house has new electric heating and is perfectly insulated in winter and in summer. Wireless Internet access is available.
You will enjoy the fabulous view of the surrounding landscape from the private terrace with garden furniture (table and ten chairs), a parasol and two grills (electric and charcoal). There is a table tennis table under a roof. There are four private car parking spaces in front of the house. The garden is also available.
Baby equipment comprising a travel cot, baby bath and highchair are available on request. The owners provide six bicycles for use free of charge for the duration of your stay.
The rural area the house is in, the “Perche”, is characterised by a pleasant, gently rolling, hilly landscape, very green and varied, with forests and hills, hiking trails, old farms and monasteries, as well as leisure area. There is something to suit every taste, both for sports enthusiasts and those interested in culture, such as visiting the picturesque villages of La Perrière, la Chapelle Montligeon, Brochard and the town of Mortagne-au-Perce, with its historical old town. The nearest place to swim is about 10km away, and the lake Etang de la Herse, where you can go fishing or have a picnic, is also nearby.
In the nearby village about 2km away you can find a butcher, baker and a restaurant. The nearest supermarket, everyday shops and regional markets are in Mortagne-au-perche and Belleme (about 10km away).
