Beautiful holiday cottages retaining the traditional architecture of the Canary Islands, near the sea


This residential area is located between the towns of San Isidro and Granadilla de Abona, approximately 345 metres above sea level, and near various beaches which are great places for excursions. The sea is to the east of the house and the mountains to the north, placing this cottage in an ideal location sandwiched between the sea and mountains.

The holiday cottage is in a residential area with various houses, all retaining the traditional Canarian architectural style. They feature thick stone walls and white varnished wooden elements. Each house benefits from its own garden with native plants. The house has a wood paneled ceiling, and the terrace Arabic style tiling.

There are supermarkets and restaurants within a two kilometre radius of the cottage. The beach of “Playa Médano“ is only a few minutes away by car, making this an ideal location for wind surfers. A golf course is also nearby, a 15 minutes drive away. There is a bus stop approximately 100 m from the house, offering connections to, e.g., the centre of Granadilla.

Finca "Casa Azul" with garden, barbecue and terrace

The 75 m² holiday home has a spacious and bright living/dining room with an integrated kitchen. It is furnished with a sofa and a TV with USB/digital connection, as well as a dining table and chairs for communal meals. The kitchenette has a ceramic hob, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster and coffee machine. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed. There is also a bathroom with natural light, shower, hairdryer, washbasin and WC. There you will also find a washing machine and an iron, which you can use during your stay. You have access to WLAN throughout the house.

The holiday accommodation is situated on a 200 m² plot with its own garden. There is a terrace with garden furniture, sun loungers and barbecue area. The house also has its own parking.

    Digitaler Fernseher vorhanden, Empfang aber nur ein paar spanische Sender.
    Eine externe Festplatte mit Musik und Filmen ist hilfreich.
    Nette Begrüßung mit Obst und Wein. Schöner Aussenbereich mit Liegestuhl zum Sonnen.

    “Wir waren in diesem März nunmehr das zweite Mal im kleinen Ferienhaus und werden es im nächsten Jahr vielleicht auch wieder buchen. Man ist fernab vom Trubel und kann auf dem gepflegten Grundstück die Sonne genießen. Während unseres Aufenthalts waren die Vermieter tagsüber fleißig bei der Vorbereitung für die nächste Saison (Wege ausgebessert, Pflanzen gepflegt, Sofa ausgetauscht), ohne, dass wir uns gestört fühlten. Das Häuschen ist sparsam eingerichtet, eine Kaffeemaschine ist immer noch nicht verfügbar, aber nach unseren Wanderungen über die Berge und durch die Schluchten waren heißes Dusch-Wasser und ein WLAN-Zugang ausreichend. Für die wenigen kühleren Nächte gibt es einen Radiator und Zusatzdecken für das Bett. Kochen kann man, muss man angesichts der vielen Fischrestaurants in den Küstenorten aber nicht. Gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in San Isidro (5 Minuten Autofahrt), so dass auch das Frühstück mit frischem Brot möglich war. Ein Auto ist Bedingung, wenn man nicht vom Bus abhängig sein will.”

    Pro:
    Sehr netter Empfang trotz Sprachbarrieren (Gastgeber spricht nur spanisch und wir leider nicht).
    Kaputte Kaffeemaschine wurde am nächsten Tag sofort ausgetauscht.
    Wunderschönes Anwesen mit toller Flora und liebevoller Ausstattung.
    Fantastischer Meer und Bergblick.

    Contra:
    Innenräume sehr dunkel, da wenig Fenster.
    Küchenutensilien teilweise alt und unhygienisch.”
