Breton holiday house with a garden, playground and grill hut, near the beach and the coast
This detached holiday house with a garden is in Plourin and is at the end of a quiet country road. It is surrounded by fields and abundant nature. From here you can go on tours to explore the rocky coast or spend a day on the nearby beach.
The 60m² house from 1890 was renovated by the owners in 2013 with great attention to detail. Its Breton roots and the proximity to the sea are reflected in the stylish and comfortable décor, providing ideal accommodation for two adults and two children. When you enter the house, you are welcomed by an atmospherically decorated living room with comfortable sofas in front of the wood-burning stove and a TV corner with satellite TV (British programmes) and a DVD player. There is an adjoining, fully-equipped kitchen, separated from it by a counter. In front of it there is the dining space, furnished with an antique dining table made of cherrywood and four upholstered chairs. From here you can look out at the garden and the surrounding fields. Narrow wooden stairs in the middle of the room lead up to the master bedroom with its comfortable cherrywood double bed. Next to it there is the children’s room with a bunk bed, decorated prettily in a maritime style. Next to the stairwell there is the bathroom with a shower, WC and washbasin.
The house has a terrace furnished with a table and chairs. The garden also has sun loungers. For children there is a playground with a swing, slide and climbing frame. Older children will enjoy the trampoline. The highlight for all ages is the grill hut in the garden, where grilling is an experience regardless of the weather. The cosy hut is characterised by a Scandinavian style with quality sheep’s fleece rugs, Viking sculptures and reindeer antlers. In the middle of the room there is a big grill island. At night the hut is illuminated by hundreds of little lights and candles. You can sit in this romantic atmosphere in front of the crackling fire and enjoy the grilled delicacies. The house has its own parking space.
The house has Internet access. The washing machine is in an annex about 10 metres from the house. The dryer in the owner’s house can be use if required. The owner lives separately next door. Bicycles are available for use free of charge.
It is five minutes by car to the beach. The house is also an ideal starting point for coastal walks or trips to the islands of Ouessant, Molène and Sein. You can also admire the picturesque “Abers” (sea bays). You should definitely plan a visit to the medieval town of Saint-Renan with its vibrant life, five minutes away by car. The market held there every Saturday morning is widely known. In a wellness centre 4km away there is a sauna with a whirlpool, where you can spend a relaxing day.
