Property no. 813386
Holiday home for max. 4 persons
Sorsele, Swedish Lapland, Sweden
Holiday home in Sorsele with barbecue and terrace
The cottage is situated on a plot of approx. 2 ha on which the owner also lives. The property is surrounded by forest on three sides. On the fourth side is the river "Vindelälven", the Swedish national river. The entire property is located in the centre of the UNESCO biosphere reserve "Vindelälven-Juhtatdahka".
There is a terrace with deckchairs in front of the cottage. The adjoining private park is freely available to all holidaymakers.
Our guest house was completed in 2010. When furnishing and equipping it, we paid particular attention to the well-being of our guests without neglecting the character of a mountain hut. After your adventures in the nature of Lapland, you can end the day with a good book in the cosy sofa corner. A four-poster bed full of Lapland dreams awaits you for a good night's sleep. The cabin is designed for self-catering, which means you have a fully functional kitchenette with fridge, cooker and sink. The interior is heated with environmentally friendly geothermal energy, which guarantees a cosy temperature in almost all seasons. However, the real Lapland feeling only comes when the fire crackles in the fireplace and its flickering glow spreads throughout the hut. That's why we have installed a wood-burning stove in the hut for the 'cosy factor' (and for particularly cold winter days). Thanks to the green roof, it remains pleasantly cool in the house even in summer temperatures - which can reach +30°C even in Lapland. The holiday home is highly recommended for family holidays but also for individual holidaymakers and couples. Up to 4 people can spend their holiday in the house. All operating expenses such as electricity, water, sewage, waste disposal, firewood for the fireplace are free of charge. You will also receive bed linen and towels free of charge. WLAN Internet is available in the house.
The small hamlet of Bjärdakken, where your holiday home is located, has only three permanent residents and is situated 18 km outside the village of Sorsele on the wild river "Vindelälven". The approx. 2.0 hectare meadow plot is surrounded by forest and is easily accessible via the minor road 363. The fish-rich river with its crystal-clear water is about two kilometres wide at this point and offers the best conditions for boating, swimming and fishing. The area around Sorsele, with its rivers and countless lakes, is one of the best fishing grounds in northern Scandinavia. Here, you can fish for game fish such as salmon, trout, grayling and char. But pike, perch and whitefish (vendace) are also frequently caught. For hiking enthusiasts, the surrounding mountains and the vast fell landscape are both an adventure and a nature experience in summer and autumn. Reindeer, moose and eagles can be spotted here. With a bit of luck, you might even come across a bear. In the winter months, the surroundings are enchanting with snow-covered forests and the typical tranquillity of the north. The Northern Lights are particularly intense at this time of year. Now is also the time for snowshoe or ski tours. For alpine skiers and snowboarders, on the other hand, our ski area at Nalovardo offers downhill fun for all levels of difficulty on several pistes. The ski area is just 4 km from your holiday home. For your summer or winter tours into the wilderness of Lapland, we recommend a guided tour with our mountain and wilderness guide Joachim. He was trained in Sweden, knows the region and can tell you a lot about the history of the north and the Sami culture. You can find more information at "NordTrek AB".
