Lavanda, located between the mountains of the Madonie National Park and the sea, is an ancient Baglio-style cottage (a traditional Sicilian country villa with an interior courtyard) built more than 300 years ago to manage a large estate where olive trees were grown. In fact, it is still possible today to follow the ancient process of oil extraction and preservation in the mill and oil jar room. The house, furnished with antique furniture belonging to the family, is located on a hill and offers clear views of the sea. It is surrounded by olive, carob and almond trees, crisscrossed by a long path of cypress trees. The garden surrounding the house is also filled with big lavender and rosemary bushes, pomegranate trees and other Mediterranean-style plants. An old drinking trough can be used as a swimming pool and there is an 18-hole golf course about 3km away. The sea is about 5km away.
The old seaside village of Cefalù and its truly beautiful Norman cathedral is about 15km away.

Attention: considering that the holiday home is furnished with a large number of objects which have sentimental value, it will not be rented to any families with children under 15 years of age.

    “Romantisches Ferienhaus zum absoluten Relaxen, umgeben von den schönsten Pflanzen, Olivenbäumen die mehrere Hundert Jahre alt sind, Mandelbäumen, Malerei. Ein traumhafter Blick über die Küste, die netten Tiere die immer freundlich sind . Lolo, das Pferd wartet schon am Morgen zur Begrüßung. Timido, der charmante schwarze Hund und Gertrud seine Hundefreundin, die zurückhaltend ist, aber schnell das Herz gewinnt. Auf dem morgendlichen Weg zum traumhaften Pool mit perligen Wasser aus dem Gebirge, trifft man Coco, die lustige, immer hungrige Ziege.leider hat sie ein sehr abenteuerliches Gerücht. Das führte leider zu einem Beinbruch. Alles Gute Coco. Nicht vermissen möchten wir die leckeren Eier und die frischen Tomaten, die wir morgens vorgefunden haben. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe und Geschmack eingerichtet. Der Stil des Hauses hat eine elegante und stimmige Linie die genau zur Umgebung passt. Abgerundet wird diese Paradies durch die Besitzerinnen. Immer beschäftigt die Schönheit des Hauses zu pflegen, zu gießen und für uns immer da um unseren Urlaub zum Traum zu machen. Wir sagen 1000 Dank!”

    “Sehr romantisch ausgestattetes Haus. Traumhafte Sonnenuntergänge von der Terrasse machen das geschmackvolle Haus zu einer Entspannungsoase. Der Garten könnte nicht schöner sein. Olivenbäume, Mandelbäume und Rosmarin geben dem Garten einen mediterranes Flair. Aus dem ungewöhnlichen Pool blickt man über die Bucht. Abgerundet wird das Ganze von den zauberhaften Besitzerinnen und ihren lieben Hunden. Lolo, das Pferd, begrüßt die Gäste am Morgen mit einem Wiehern. Das auf dem Anwesen hergestellte Olivenöl schmeckt bestens. Besser geht es nicht. Wir wollen zurück!”
