Charming stone house close to the sea

This charming stone house and its pretty landscaped garden are located in the small coastal town of Portbail-sur-Mer with its shops, restaurants and small marina.
The house is just a 500-metre walk from the town centre in a small cul-de-sac, close to all amenities.
The sea reaches the edge of the town centre at high tide, and the beach at Portbail is just two kilometres away (a lovely coastal path allows you to get there on foot or by bike).
From the port of Carteret, around 7 kilometres away, ferries run in summer to the islands of Guernsey and Jersey.
The house faces south-east and has its own garden (around 500 m2 around the house).
It also shares a large garden of around 1000 m2 planted with fruit trees with a small wooden house at the bottom of the grounds (also rented out in summer).
Its location on the west coast of the Cotentin peninsula makes it an ideal base for visiting the region:
Mont-Saint-Michel bay, Sainte-mère-église and Utah beach, Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue and the island of Tatihou, Cap de la Hague and its breathtaking scenery, the Cotentin and Bessin marshes park and many other treasures of the department.

The house, which was completely renovated by an architect when it was purchased, is regularly maintained. The 110 m² of living space on two levels can comfortably accommodate 2 people.
The living area comprises a comfortable lounge (television, Bluetooth speaker), a dining area and an open-plan kitchen with a full range of modern appliances. On the ground floor, there is also one of the two bedrooms with two single beds measuring 90cm x 200cm (which we can combine into a double bed measuring 180cm x 200cm on request when you book) and a private shower room with WC. The 40 m² master bedroom, with its beautiful exposed beams, double bed (140x180cm) and desk, is upstairs and also has a private shower room with WC. When you book, you can choose to sleep on the ground floor (with the option of a king-size bed (180x200cm) or 2 separate beds) or on the first floor.

In front of the house there is a table and chairs where you can relax and admire the view of the garden.
A barbecue and deckchairs are available in the adjoining room.
There is also a tumble dryer.
Bikes can be hired from a professional in the town.

Wireless internet access is available free of charge. The house has a 3-star tourist accommodation classification.

    Wir verlebten wunderschöne erholsame Tage in der Normandie.
    Das Haus ist ein Traum ,liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, gut und komplett ausgestattet wir haben uns sofort heimisch gefühlt. Danke für die liebevolle Begrüßung von Anita und von Valeri . Wir genossen Wanderungen an den tollen Stränden und in den dünenlandschaften. Erholung und Ruhe gab es dann abends in dem wunderschönen Garten . Wir haben alles sehr genossen und wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen .

    “Das Ferienhaus ist ausgesprochen empfehlenswert, und ich würde es jederzeit nochmals mieten. Positiv: Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und dennoch zentral fußläufig zum Ort sowie zum Strand. Es ist sehr geschmackvoll und praktisch eingerichtet, sodass man sich sofort wohlfühlt.
    Sowohl die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin als auch der Empfang waren sehr unkompliziert und ausgesprochen herzlich. Negativ: Es gibt nichts, was mir weniger gefallen hätte! Restaurant: Les Treize Arches - Gemütliches Restaurant am Wasser mit exzellenter Auswahl vorwiegend regionaler Speisen Ausflüge: Barneville-Carteret - lange Strände mit Promenade, hübsche Läden und tolle Aussicht vom Cap Carteret”
