From the terrace and balcony you can enjoy a marvellous panoramic view of the surrounding hills. Numerous well-maintained and well-marked cycle and hiking trails criss-cross the "Rotkäppchenland" tourist area. The nearby Eisenberg with an altitude of 636 metres offers particularly beautiful views. Huge forests between Schwalm, Knüll and Kellerwald (national park near Edersee) offer active recreation in the wider area.
