Holiday apartment for max. 2 persons
Moncarapacho e Fuseta, Algarve, (Faro and surrounding area), Portugal
Holiday apartment Casa bem-vindo
The apartment in CasaBemVindo is located on Europe's "Route 66," between the charming fishing town of Olhão and the charming city of Tavira, at the entrance to the "white bride of the sea" of Fuseta.
Go on the hunt for the most beautiful photo, the most impressive reel, or simply an impressive memory... just a leisurely 20-minute walk to the center of this small fishing village or the famous lagoon beach. In addition to many small cafés, restaurants, the market hall, post office, newsagents, several supermarkets, and a local bike rental for a leisurely or sporty ride through the salt flats, there are also kayaks, SUPs, and surfboards available for exploring the lagoon and getting active. Two train stations connect you for discovery tours throughout the Algarve, all the way to the Spanish border, Lagos, or even Lisbon or Porto. For shorter excursions, you can also use the existing bus lines.
Due to the house's central location, you can reach Olhão and Tavira via the EN125 in just 10 minutes, Faro in 20 minutes, and Faro Airport, and even Spain, is about a 30-minute drive away. It takes about 2.5 hours to reach the southwesternmost point of Europe, where you can enjoy the famous bratwurst. To visit Lisbon, we recommend taking the train or Flixbus, but even by car, you can reach Lisbon in just 3 hours.
From almost every town or village on the east coast, located directly on the sea, you can take trips to see the dolphins, seahorses or the offshore islands. In the western Algarve, the caves and cliffs are also beautiful destinations.
Birds and wildlife can also be observed and discovered in the salt flats. Birdwatching and hiking tours are offered regularly.
But you can easily set off on your own along the marked hiking trails along the coast and inland.
During the summer months, there are nightly events, Moorish festivals, jazz and rock concerts. The sand sculpture festival, Zoo Marin, and the water slide parks also attract many visitors every year. Within a 40-minute drive, there are various freshwater springs in the hinterland that are worth a visit even in the summer months and will enhance any beach holiday.
You will stay in a lovingly furnished apartment with a bedroom, bathroom (shower/bathtub, bidet & toilet), living room, and kitchen. The bedroom, with its comfortable double bed (2m x 1.60m), and the living room have access to the private terrace, which is furnished with a dining table and chairs. We provide bed linen and hand and bath towels, and offer weekly changes for a small additional charge. Upon request, we can provide a baby cot; please contact us.
A washing machine is available to all tenants; we trust in your ecological awareness ;-)
The pool is cleaned and the plants are watered once or twice a week.
From the terrace, you can access the communal pool area through a small gate. Relaxing chairs are available for you to enjoy the Portuguese sun. The saltwater pool is communal from May to October (winter break from November to April). It measures approximately 4 x 9 m with a maximum depth of 1.8 m and has a relaxation area (approximately 80 cm deep) where you can sit or use it with small children.
The central location makes it ideal for exploring the Algarve.
The apartment is partially wheelchair accessible, and the lagoon beach of Fuzeta has been certified as wheelchair accessible.
Fuzeta, the nearest town, is a very typical little fishing village that vehemently resists mass tourism. Here you'll find ATMs, a post office, a supermarket, a newsagent/tobacco shop, a dentist, a hairdresser, and much more.
Fuzeta is located directly on the small beach of the lagoon, which is particularly child-friendly and has been designated as wheelchair accessible.
You can reach the offshore sandy islands by water taxi or the small ferry that runs regularly from May to October. Just a few meters from the ferry dock, you can relax, listen to the whispering waves, admire the variety of shellfish, or simply be alone. Since the east of the Algarve is not yet fully developed for tourism, you are far away from mass tourism with its wild nightlife.
``` There are several bars, many small cafes, and restaurants serving local delicacies.
In the summer months, the little "Sleeping Beauty" awakens, bustling in all the small streets, squares, and under the starry night sky. Everyone is drawn out of their homes as small town, jazz, and various other festivals take place in Fuzeta and the surrounding towns. Here and there, you'll find book fairs, small craft markets, and even medieval weeks, although these usually end around midnight.
