State monument "Havenzicht" with sea view

Experience an unforgettable experience by staying at Havenzicht Monumental Building. The building breathes the atmosphere of yesteryear, but was completely modernised in 2021 and equipped with all modern conveniences. Its location right on the Zeeland coast on Walcheren makes the property unique! From the first and second floor, you even have a good view of the sea (distance to the sea: 50 metres). The property is also centrally located in the centre of Vlissingen (2nd place top 10 ZOOver city trips) at the Bellamypark (square with lots of restaurants/terraces) and the shopping centre. In the immediate vicinity (urban area of 100,000 inhabitants) are various facilities such as a shopping centre, cinema, lots of restaurants/cafés and various attractions for old and young. Everything can be reached on foot, so easy!
Near the house are (one of the few pieces of south coast of the Netherlands) clean sandy beaches (from 500 metres to many kilometres away, from busy (with beach bars and lifeguards) to quiet kilometres-long beaches).

Immediate surroundings
Within walking distance (within 100 metres) are not only fish shops and restaurants (from sushi to traditional Chinese and from snack bar to high-quality restaurant), but also the sea and the beautiful boulevards. Via a tunnel through a centuries-old fort (Kazematten), originally built by order of Charles V, you can reach the sea within 1 minute. The shopping centre, supermarkets, 7-screen cinema, Reptile Zoo Iguana and attraction Het Arsenaal are also within easy walking distance.

Surroundings
In the vicinity and also in Vlissingen there are various indoor and outdoor playgrounds (also for young people such as a trampoline park) and in Middelburg (6 km) e.g. Mini Mundi amusement park/Prison Island/Glowgolf/Springkussenpark). From Monumentenpandand Havenzicht, you can take beautiful challenging walks through the Boulevards and further beaches with varied scenery, from the bustling boulevards with numerous (hanging) terraces with beach bars to vast wide and quiet beaches. On and under the dunes you will find beautiful cycling (and good skating) trails.
On the Boulevard and from Vlissingen to Zoutelande and beyond, you will find kilometres of continuous clean sandy beaches equipped with lifeguards and beach equipment rental. Vlissingen's beaches are (uniquely) south-facing and directly on a busy sea route to Antwerp and Rotterdam, so that in addition to enjoying the sun, you can also enjoy the passing ships (close to the coast). Nowhere in the world do ships sail so close to the coast than along Vlissingen's boulevards. Via the windows on the first and second floors of the Havenzicht monument building, you can also see the passing boats.
Vlissingen is also a good base for exploring Walcheren by bike or taking a lovely walk along the coast. The historic towns of Veere and Middelburg (5 km) and the tourist villages Zoutelande and Domburg are also located on the Walcheren peninsula. There are also several recreational cycle routes, such as the National Cycle Route and junction routes. A beautiful cycle path leads from Vlissingen Station via Bellamypark (monumental building Havenzicht) over the cycling street on boulevards to the dunes along the North Sea coast.

Experience an unforgettable experience by staying at Rijksmonument Havenzicht. This holiday address is an official National Monument and was built centuries ago in the 'Golden Age' and served as a residence/warehouse. Ships used to dock directly in front of the building on the quay (now Bellamypark). The building breathes the atmosphere of the past, but was completely modernised and renovated in 2021 and equipped with all modern conveniences and furnishings. Sustainability and reuse of materials were central to the renovation. In addition, the connection with the sea/beach is visible in the building through paintings/photos, but also through the use of wreck wood and shells. After all, you are staying a stone's throw from the sea. At the same time, the building is right in the centre of Vlissingen with countless amenities. From the first and second floor, you even have a real view of the sea (see photo) and can admire the ocean-going ships sailing in and out.

Rijksmonument Havenzichtis one house, but can be closed off to form two flats (Havenzicht flat for up to 12-14 people and Bellamy flat for up to 5-6 people), separated from each other by a dividing door which easily creates one house by opening it.

Historic building Havenzicht has two entrances, namely to Bellamypark (entrance to flat Bellamy) via the basement and Beursstraat (entrance to flat Havenzicht). The entire property is suitable for up to 14 adults and 4 children (18 persons). The maximum number of sleeping places is 20 (including sofa beds and after-mentioned sleeping loft, third floor). The advisory composition is also a maximum of 13-15 adults.

Through the main entrance found at the address Beursstraat 8, located in a centuries-old street with numerous listed buildings with magnificent facades, you will enter Rijksmonument. Furthermore, on the ground floor you will find one of the bathrooms with walk-in shower and toilet. You then walk (via the connecting door) to the kitchen and living/bedroom, making this a complete living unit on the ground floor.
Via the stairs you then reach the first floor with large kitchen including a dishwasher, electric cooker, large oven, extra combi oven/microwave fridge and freezer. The kitchen includes a large table with 8 chairs (and 4 extra chairs that can be added). Digital TV is available in the kitchen. From this kitchen diner you have a good view of the square in front (Bellamypark) with numerous terraces, restaurants and cafés. You also have a sea view on the first floor (look to the right). On this floor you will also find a bedroom with a double bed (140 cm wide and 200 cm long) and a bunk bed (separated by a wardrobe and a wall) for 2 persons.
On the second floor is a spacious living room located with 3 sofas (including 2x double sofa beds) and a large Smart TV with Netflix account. A bathroom (with walk-in shower and toilet) and a spacious bedroom with double bed (160 cm wide and 200 long) are located on the same floor. Via a steep, narrow staircase you reach the sleeping loft, which is cosily panelled with wood. In total, this sleeping loft contains space for 4 people. This cosy room - maximum height to ridge is about 170 cm - is mainly intended as an (exciting) sleeping loft for children, but can also be used by adults.

The entrance to flat Bellamy is located at Bellamypark (formally Smalle Kade for your navigation system). The staircase (watch your head) leads to the basement (height to the beams 193 cm and between the beams (plaster ceiling) over 200 cm. In the basement you will find a spacious bedroom with a double bed (180 x 200 cm). This bedroom has a door to an underground area where you will find some patio furniture for sitting outside. The land in front of the property (up to about the big stone blocks) is private land and belongs to the property. Furthermore, the basement contains a new bathroom (bathroom furniture is made of wreckage washed up in Vlissingen) and a bedroom with 2 single beds. The staircase leads to the living kitchen (with high ceiling) overlooking the square (Bellamypark) and terraces. The complete kitchen includes a built-in gas stove (4 burners), dishwasher, fridge, freezer and combi oven/microwave. The kitchen diner also contains a dining table with 6 chairs and a double sofa bed. This room can be used as an extra bedroom (as there is another kitchen and a living room).

The land in front of the property (up to the large stone blocks) is private land and belongs to the property. In the bedroom next to the entrance on Bellamypark there is a door to an underground space where you can find some patio furniture to sit outside

A made bed is available for all persons. Bed linen is therefore included in the price. Kitchen towels/cleaning towels are also provided. Bath and beach towels are not included, please bring them with you.
There is paid parking in the immediate vicinity. Through the owner, you can use a parking permit (for a fee).
