Holiday home "Stein" with wallbox
We rent out a separate holiday home on our farm near Landshut all year round. You have your own cottage all to yourself and are guests on our farm. It used to be called Inhäuserl and was intended as a place for the old farmer to stay. Today, the holiday cottage is also part of the farm complex, very traditional like all the farmhouses of old Kröning, made entirely of wood. On the ground floor there is a large kitchen-living room, a bathroom and a sauna. On the first floor there are two bedrooms for a total of 4 people, but only one bedroom is really closed off, so one bedroom is a connecting room. On request, however, we can arrange additional sleeping places (e.g. for children) and a floor plan is available. The flat has an area of about 60m² You are guests on our farm. We have sheep, rabbits and cats. Stein is a typical Lower Bavarian hermit farm. The next neighbour is 250m away and the next village Kirchberg about 2km. Here you can buy basic groceries. So there is no disco here, but a lot of peace and quiet. city dwellers sometimes find it difficult to cope with the silence!
Excursion possibilities: The healthy four: Bad Griesbach, Bad Füssing, Bad Birnbach in the Rottal and Bad Abbach near Kelheim, invite you to wellness with great gastronomy. Landshut: (20 km) old Bavarian capital. St Martin's Basilica is the tallest brick tower in the world at 133 metres. Old town, large historic streets, Trausnitz Castle, great shopping opportunities.place description : Our farm, Stein, has been a pottery workshop for centuries. When it rains heavily, shards of the old Kröninger pottery can be found. Stein lies in the municipality of Kröning. Kröning is one of the most densely wooded areas in Germany. You can go for a wonderful walk or cycle here. The nearest neighbour is around 250 m away. The nearest town for grocery shopping is 3 km away. Stein is 500 metres above sea level. From here down the Isar, it has the most hours of sunshine per year. Rainfall is approx. 650 mm p.a. Our pride and joy is the garden. Almost 5 hectares surround the property. Just meadows and trees. A small and a large swimming pond. During the black stork breeding season, a few land every year to rest. At any time of the year, the most beautiful delicacies that nature has to offer ripen on the farm. Please help yourself. Around 30 sheep, several cats and lots of rabbits are always happy to receive visitors.
Other sports and leisure activities: Fishing in our own fishing pond. Mainly carp and tench. Unfortunately also a few pike. Fishing is free of charge if fished in normal household quantities. The pike must be shared with the landlord.
Stein is a wasteland. Unfortunately, WiFi is not available. However, we can provide you with a receiver via radio/satellite on a daily basis for a fee. Since 2023 there is also a wallbox available for charging your Auitos.
We attach great importance to sustainability, which we also live by ourselves. So no big slogans, but deeds. Our farm and the holiday flats are heated exclusively with waste wood, wood that is not cut down to be burned, but wood that would end up in the landfill if it were not burned by us. This is mostly dead wood or leftovers that cannot be used for other purposes. More wood regularly grows back on our land than is consumed. The ash is sieved and spread on the meadows as fertiliser. We allow ourselves the luxury of recycling any nails or other small pieces of iron in the ash.
The waste water is also treated on the farm and the sludge is incorporated. We therefore ask you not to put any bandages etc. into the waste water.
As we have almost 100 fruit trees on the property, we are allowed to distil the surplus fruit into schnapps. If you wish, you can purchase schnapps from Stein at a preferential price. We have quince, pear, mirabelle, sour cherry and Kriacherl (plum) on offer.
Noble brandy means that 100% of the alcohol comes from the fruit and is distilled three times by us.
