The holiday home "Festung zu Ketghe" impresses with its central and quiet location in a cul-de-sac with no through traffic.
You can reach the BUGA city of Koblenz in just a few minutes and are in the Eifel, Westerwald, Hunsrück and Taunus.

Your holiday home is located in the old town centre of the municipality of Kettig with historical reference to the former fortress. Today, the restored church of Kettig is located here.

You live close to the Rhine and will find many tourist attractions in the immediate vicinity, e.g. a very well-developed network of cycle paths, the geyser in Andernach, the volcano park, Lake Laach and many castles and palaces. The many sights of the cities of Cologne, Bonn, Trier and Mainz can be reached in a short time. The BUGA city of Koblenz with its beautiful old town, the Rhine and Moselle promenades for strolling, the Ehrenbreitstein fortress, the city beach and many other interesting sights are only 10 minutes away.

Koblenz can also be easily reached by public transport. The bus stop is only a 5-minute walk from the holiday home.

As an active holidaymaker, you have direct access to the Streuobstwiesenweg, the Rheinburgenweg, the Rheinsteig, dream trails and many other hiking areas in the Eifel, Hunsrück, Westerwald and Taunus. The newly opened Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park is sure to become a new centre of attraction. Pilgrims can cross the Way of St James here in the direction of Trier and onwards to France.

Your holiday home has been extensively renovated. Here you will find the original wooden floors of the 150-year-old building combined with contemporary, high-quality furnishings. The holiday home offers its guests cosy rooms (living room, kitchen, bathroom, 3 bedrooms on the upper floor for the family) as well as a newly designed garden area with seating.

A rental contract is concluded with the landlord upon arrival.

In Kettig you will find local businesses with numerous offers for body and soul (e.g. Netto market, bakeries, butcher's shop, inn, nursery and wellness) as well as medical care in the village.

Germany's largest specialist retail centre in Mülheim-Kärlich is only 5 minutes away by car.

    “Tante Miesche heeft zeker een toegevoegde waarde, gezien de mogelijkheid tot ontbijten.
    We hebben ons op ons thuis gevoeld in de woning. En hebben de gelukkig ook nog gebruik kunnen maken van het gezellige tuintje. De belangstelling en het meedenken van de gastheer zorgde ervoor dat alles goed verlopen. Goede communicatie. Positiv: Bakkerij dicht in de buurt, een gezellige huiskamer. Grote ruime slaapkamer. Volledige keukeninrichting. De netheid van het huisje, Belangstelling van de gastheer/gastvrouw Negativ: eettafel in de keuken was krapjes, 2 bedden waren niet helemaal goed. Liepen af net of je uit bed rolde. Zeker met 3 personen of meer is dit niet handig.”
