The Almhütte Enzian - cosiness and wonderful views of the surrounding mountains.
Our rustic alpine hut is surrounded by a large property (1650 square metres) with a sunny plateau with table and benches (deckchairs and parasols are available). Next to the hut is another seating area, which invites you to a cosy get-together. There is a charcoal barbecue at your disposal. If you are travelling with a dog, please note that the property is not completely fenced in. For an idyllic campfire, use the specially built fireplace on the highest point of the property.

On the ground floor there is a beautiful newly renovated living room with balcony and Swiss stone pine seating area, kitchen corner and a large wood-burning stove for cooking and heating. There is also a cosy 2-bed room, a pantry, a bathroom with shower and a separate WC.
On the upper floor you will find a pretty, bright 4-bed room. From the furnished balcony you can enjoy the magnificent sunset over the mountain peaks. There is also a cosy 2-bed room and a separate WC.
The bedrooms are equipped with radiant heaters for the cooler months.
Please note that pets are not allowed in the bedrooms on the ground floor and first floor. Our hut is a non-smoking house. Thank you for your understanding.

Our alpine hut is located at 1700 metres above sea level. Directly from the hut there are beautiful hiking trails and a variety of sports opportunities in an impressive landscape.

In the valley, in Greifenburg with shopping facilities and restaurants, there is a lovely swimming lake and a high ropes course. You can also explore an idyllic gorge on a water hiking trail, which is particularly suitable for children.

*Please note:* The last 5 kilometres from Greifenburg to the hut are on a bumpy gravel road, but it is well maintained and easy to drive on. In colder months, please take snow chains with you.

Sledges and children's bobsleighs are available in winter.

As the hut is located in an area where cows graze, there are two free car parks about 250 metres away. The path to the car park is not steep and easily accessible, but is closed by a barrier. You can obtain the key from us on request. For bookings in winter, spring and autumn there may be occasional snowfall. As a result, access to the hut may be restricted or not possible. In this case we will help you to transport your luggage.

There are 4 other private huts in the neighbourhood, but they are not a hindrance.
From our hut you can take the popular hiking trail of the Kreuzeck group directly to the Fellnerhütte (with overnight accommodation). If this is too far for you, you can hike to the local mountains Tolzer and Gaugen (approx. 2200 metres above sea level) where you can proudly sign the summit book after your ascent and enjoy the magnificent view over the mountain peaks.

Location description : In Greifenburg in the valley there are various grocery shops, pharmacy, doctors, bakery and other services (including ski hire)
Other sports and leisure activities : In Greifenburg there is a high ropes course for adventure and the neighbouring, beautiful bathing lake offers refreshing cooling in summer. A snack bar invites you to stay a while and fortify yourself. There is also a water hiking trail in Greifenburg, which also offers lots of fun and adventure for small children.
