“Beautiful location and villa.”

“On the day of our arrival, while we were in the taxi from the airport to the villa, we received an email informing us that we would not be able to use the swimming pool. There was no explanation, and no apology, and no offer of compensation.

We later discovered that the pool had simply not been cleaned in time for our arrival. There was no fault with it. This really ruined our holiday - it was a disgraceful way to treat guests who had paid a lot of money to stay at the villa for their main family holiday of the year. The holiday was booked months in advance and the owners had plenty of time to prepare.

In the end we were able to use the pool for 3 of our 9 days holiday. There is no way we would have booked the villa if we had known this would happen. We would have booked a hotel instead.

Aside from the pool, the villa was good. It is in a very beautiful location with excellent views. However it does not have air conditioning, which made sleeping difficult in the heat.

Overall I cannot recommend this villa due to the complete lack of professionalism of the owners. This was an expensive holiday, and we planned to spend a lot of time in the pool as a family, which we were unable to do. Even 2 weeks after the end of our holiday, we are quite angry about it.
