Charming and chic, this is a 1-bedroom holiday home in Puy-l'Évêque for a couple on a romantic escapade. You can enjoy a relaxed time on the terrace with a glass of wine or a refreshing cool drink.

The medieval city of Puy L'Eveque is one of the prettiest towns on the Lot river. The town center, grocery stores, restaurants, cafes, shops, nightlife pubs and terraces are around the corner. You may take a walk through the winding streets with overhanging balconies and experience the beauty of this town. Also, the surroundings of the river Lot are beautiful, especially towards Cahors.

The kitchen is simple but has everything you need. Prepare meals of your choice and savor them together. In the dining room, you have a grand fireplace to have cozy breakfasts and dinners. From your living room, you can look out over the river and easily walk to its banks.

Puy l'Eveque is a delightful historic village in the Lot Department. The house is a characterful fisherman's cottage built in 1660 with fabulous views over the lot river. It is well located within the heart of the ancient city, parts of which date back to the 1300's.

Within easy walking distance of all amenities, boulangerie, supermarche, restaurants and the weekly markets, you will find everything you need for a relaxing stay. If you want to be more energetic, there are bike and walking paths, a river beach and municipal swimming pool nearby. All within alpine distance.

Puy l'Eveque is also surrounded by beautiful towns and villages including Cahors, St Cirq Lapopie, Rocamadour and Sarlat to name a few all within an easy drive. All are well worth the drive. Close to St Cirq there is also the Grotte du Pech Merle (approximately 35 minutes by car from Cahors) a prehistory centre and cave featuring prehistoric cave painting, one of the few remaining open to the public. You can purchase tickets on line beforehand if you want.

The Cahors region is famous for Malbec wines, both red and white (rose) and there are plenty of fabulous wineries to visit nearby. If it is a gourmet visit you are looking for, there is fabulous food aplenty here. There is nothing nicer than going for a walk up the hill to the market, buying a few tasty delicacies and bringing it back for a lovely lunch on the terrace looking down to the Lot river with a glass of sparkling white Malbec. Perfection!
